    Default Compound after sanding

Which compound like/use/love after wetsanding in generaly?
and in particulary on a hard nonlacquered E30 paint

I'm on the way to sand and polish my E30
I'm also on the way to put a new order for cleaning products

Did anybody tryed Scholl 17/3/0 ?
Make any difference to Meg 105 or 3M green one ?
I will order some Scholl just to try, but I'm between S17 and S3
Which one you think it better after wetsanding?

    Thanks

There's new g3 out now and its supposed to be brilliant. Its called premium i think. very fast cut but supposedly doesn't leave lots of swirls. that scholl s3 seems to be good stuff too though

What you want is something that will break down aswell as polish,/ Compound, Larry in clean car has some Great stuff, and hes a site sponsor so will give you a members discount too just mention us here when ordering,
My preference is the Menzerna range, good for hard german paints, G3 is very harsh and can do serious damage if you dont know what your doing, always start small, light cutting compound and light cutting pad, and work up, do a test area 1st, every polish reacts differently, even same brands,

Be carefull wetsanding if your new to it,

I never used any of the megs range, never had the need to,

Cant Go wrong with the Menzerna range imo,

    Hope that helps
    Brian

    Thanks guys,
I'll put an update when job done.
I notice that most of mechanics and bodyshop guys are using Farecla
i didn't had chance to try
myself, I'm a Meguiars fan , #105 working all the way
Had in my firs order full range a Menzerna too,
not happy with the results on the first car and never interested to use again
I will have one more go now, on some of the panels
It hard to take pictures , because is red paint
    But I'll try a couple of 50/50

    Car was just resprayed,
    I start sanding, 2500 folowed by 3000 ,
so far just the body kit , which is out from the car,
valance looking like a bit of challenge.

Is it orange peely? usually you'd start with 1500 paper. 2500 is very fine.

No, has no orange peel, good job, ...except a few runnings
But is a hard paint nonlaquered that need to polished after,
And I asked the painter to leave the polishing in my hands.
Maybe was better to start from 2000 , than 2500 and 3000
but ...more work, and maybe a bitt scared, may tray on small area.

All Down to Personal taste, Farclea is used alot with body shops, hence why i get alot of business off guys to fix the damage thats put into the paint after a respray on soft paint with harsh compounds,

Ive Used Fixer aswell but im not a fan just not enough cut from it, its the same as 1500 grade wet and dry paper,

Megs #83 and #105 seem to be the best combinations when using their products, but as ive said ive never used them, was happy with the results i got with other products

Ya the old g3 is very old technology but the new stuff looks to be good. have u searched on YouTube how to fix a run? there's loads. u can also buy run blocks. some people scrape a razor over the top of a run. it'd take u a week to sand a run with 2500. Runs can be taken down with as low as 600. I've seen another trick where you put a bit of filler around the run which makes it safer to sand. I'll try and find the video for ya.

    Edit. found it
