    Default Satin or Matt Black

I'm planning a small bit of a nose job/front end tidy up.

Do I use Satin or Matt Black on the lower lip, bump strips/bumper inserts & grille?

I was planning on using Satin but just wanted to double check.
Also should I light sand and prime first?

    All tips appreciated.

Haven't done this before but what I have hear is that you should be fine with just satin paint

    Satin

I've done all the black plastic on the E30 and the E34 with primer and black satin. Stays balck, easy to clean - unlike the 'raw' plastic.

    Now Do it!

You could try some Gtechniq - C4 Permanent Trim Restorer on it as well. No idea how long it last but it made a difference to my grills

The C4 is very good - but for parts which are removable, like the front grilles, painting is the way to go. The C4 lasts a good while, but its not permanent (maybe a case for doing them under the trade description act!) and its prohibitively expensive.

Can of Halfords Satin Black is perfect - and 500ML is 9.99 or so.

Its stupidly expensive for how much you get!
