Default 1988 320i - Dashboard Service Light Indicators - lit up at all times...

This is causing the car battery power to deplete.

Would anybody be able to provide the service required to address this issue?

    I'm based in Dublin.

    Thanks in advance,

    Peadar

Do you mean does someone have a service light reset tool?
If so I do and could do for you no problem

    Hello JohnH,

Thank you very much for your kind offer.

To be honest - I'm not sure if it's just a matter of resetting the service light or if it requires the services of an auto electrician.

I will send you a PM just now.

    Thanks again,

    Peadar

The green service lights go out immediately the engine is started. The only light that may remain on is the inspection light while driving. Occassionally the oil service light may come on if the Ecu deems the car needs a service and inspection. These lights can be switched off with the service reset tool. It is unlikely though that these lights would deplete a good battery. You may have a problem with the circuit board itself if the green lights are on all the time.
