get a jeep, cheap tax and everythin, u won't care if u tip or scrape it and very handy if u need to go and collect anythin big, just fire it in the back!

Get a petrol A4 quattro. I'd say you could get anything from 00-upwards within your budget. The petrol ones don't go for the same stupid money as the diesels.

Yea but do you not have to drive the bag out of a petrol jeep to get it to move,diesel would be alot better with the low down torque.

Id look out for a 525i e34 touring If your going to be towing about a ton. I use my e30 325i touring for towing 750 kgs about twice a month and tow 1 ton about once a month but its more like every weekend lately with m42 owners cracking their sumps. 4WD isnt really necessary Ive seldom got stuck in 5 years towing into and out of wet fields and Ive got an open diff. The times i have got stuck so has everyone else so its just a case of waiting your turn behind the tractor. Also I think self leveling rear suspension was standard on e34 tourings and its brilliant on my e30 touring.

Paul swift (the display driver) uses his evo to tow the trailer wit his rs on it! Be mad seein that goin down de road.
How bout a 325ix?
The b4 legacy is prob your best bet out of them though!

I thought a tow car had to be 4WD? by law or was that only a rumour as i can't find anything that says it's so

just buy a jeep!!
plenty of nice jeeps to choose from on your budget plus most are designed and setup for towing and there fun offroad
