Default Trim Refurb -

All the trim on my E30 needs attention and it will get it in due course. I decided to have a go at refurbishing the wing mirrors for starters.

The grey oxidised weathered wing mirror will be familiar to all.

After a bit of research on tinternet opted to try a white spirit and boiled linseed oil mix 3:2 ratio.

Rubbed the mixture on with a microfibre pad and wipe off the excess. I have no idea if the effect will last but it looks very well at this stage. To help it along, I finished it with Maguiars Ultimate Protectant Dash & Trim restorer.

Rub on with a different cloth towel and wipe off excess with a different towel also.

Before and after pic.

So far so good. I'm hoping the Maguiars will keep it good for months.
