Default More on the emissions scandal

As expected more manufacturers are being linked to the emissions scandal.

"Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Mazda and Mitsubishi’s cars are shown to emit significantly more NOx pollution on the road than in regulatory tests"

“The NEDC was never intended to represent real-world driving,” that quote explains the problem - every manufacturer is designing their cars to pass the laboratory tests and all in accordance withe the law, look at the manufacturers declared average consumption - barely achievable on motorway only,
and here's another thing - consumption = co2 emissions = road tax and vrt rate, are they going to revise the tax rates for all the cars on the co2 based tax system which is based on the co2 emissions measured in the laboratory conditions not achievable in real life?
