The body is in excellent condition, and two small areas of rust have been repaired, i.e. boot pocket and drivers inner arch. It has the original paint so itís not perfect. It has lots of light scratching on the roof and boot lid as if someone dragged dirty tarpaulin back and forth across them. There is one dent on the drivers rear wing which I may have repaired before sale. You can also see that the IS splitter is not on the car. This is because the previous owner had installed a Tech2 valance. I will include the Tech2 valance and a brand new genuine original BMW IS splitter (requires painting) with the car. I may get this painted and installed before sale also. Other than the above, the only issues are minuscule imperfections as can be expected.
The underside of the car is excellent, and is a testament to how well itís previous owners took care of it.
What can I say about the interior other than you will not believe it is 26 years old. It looks like it could have rolled out of the factory yesterday. The drivers seat has no wear at all. The only two items that lets it down are the crack in the dashboard and the odd bit of discoloration in the carpet.
All instruments work as they should apart from the headlight beam height adjustment which has been disconnected.
I have replaced the original 175k engine with a 130k unit which I purchased from an e30owners member. I have completed approx. 500 miles on this since install and it has performed perfectly. I will include the original engine in the sale.
Gear changes are smooth and I have found no issues with it since I have owned the car.
All mechanicals are in very good condition. The car handles really well and in my opinion is more enjoyable to drive than any modern car. I have used it to drive to work regularly and it has been completely reliable with no issues at all.
Everything on the car works. I have had no issues at all which is impressive considering it is 26 years old. Again a testament to itís previous owners.
As far as I can tell, all glass is original, and has itís original UK registration etched.
All boot upholstery and tool kit present and in good condition.
I have 4 sets of wheels which can be seen in the photos. The buyer can select which set of wheels they want, or do a deal for more if they wish. To be perfect, they would require a refurbish, but there is only minor scuffing, scratching and peeling.
The various sets have various tyres, including R888ís, slicks and standard. Again, this can be discussed when viewing the car. Iím currently driving it with the R888ís and they are surprisingly good in the current Irish weather, and absolutely excellent on a dry day when warmed up.
The original owners books and folder, stamped service booklet, receipts, MOTís and NCTís are present.
