robbed the battery from my 320 to start the 318
bought oil, oil filter, plugs, coolant, brake fluid, ps fluid
started to clean the engine bay, cleaned out the throttle body
started to change the plugs until i found oil in the wells, seems the o rings have worn
had a look to see what bushings need replacing

dropped the rea subframe complete -
Well almost - everything undone bar just one of those bloody subframe bush retainer bracket screws that bmw made out of butter female alan screws.
got peed off with it - tried putting sides on it with a grinder so i could get a grip but no use,
gonna buy a sharp drill bit tomorow and drill it out
and hopefully refit another rear setuo and drive out the tax and nct on her and who knows after that.

don't mention the war -
I think mine worked a little loose and my sub-frame disintegrated around the back two bolts from the clunking - that's why i am in the middle of changing my sub frame...

Took mine out for it's short Sunday drive and the centre box on the exhaust disintegrated in tesco carpark (literally fell into crumbs like a biscuit), leaving the car very very loud , i then tried to remove the rear section of the exhaust and getting the 6 bolts off was a nightmare (had to grind 3 off) and after i had that done, the exhaust refused to separate took me ages and now look like I'll have to cut it off oh the joys

On another note I'll be putting my exhaust on eBay next week titled:
THE HOLIEST EXHAUST IN THE WORLD: Previous owners :the popeÄ5000

Yes the rear is and on very rare models it will have hydro suspension all round front and back

It doesnt work as quick as a citroen set up,once you kit 45mph it will raise a small bit in the merc.

changed the oil, filter and air panel today in the '83
Then took it for a spin to Abbeyfeale, 73mile round trip.
Give it a go to blow out the cobwebs.

Noticed that the 13 button OBC gone to God
