Thanks lads!

I've only driven it from the yard to work, but it tracks straight, brakes straight, and goes like stink.

All the vital signs (oil temp/water temp/afr etc) were OK.

The clutch will take some getting used to, especially when taking off/slowing into 1st to a stop.

More photos tomorrow after a good wash

Washed and tucked into bed.

Drove it for 2 hours after work, to try and get used to it. Its a totally different experience to any of the beemers I've had.

You can hear the turbos spooling up like a jet, and it just grips & goes.
Blown away.

She is raised up to the highest setting now, until the summer when it will be lowwww.

Decided to be sensible, so i dropped the front a little bit more, and took it for a drive on the summer wheels. Winter tires will hopefully go on tomorrow.

looking well, I think you might have a little too much power for those conditions.

Well, it went for the Inspection (NCT) and failed on the most minor of things:
- the passenger side tie rod "may" be seized....OK.
- Front brake hoses are beginning to crack - I'm fine with that, as they should be fixed, sooner the better.

Other than that, it went well for it being a 15yr old modified car.

Looking at updating the coils to something like the 2.0T GTI ones, as they're seemingly better. I should also look at upgrading the diverter valves, as they figured it won't be long making poop of the ones that are in it.

Other than that, it is back in on Friday for what I hope to be a big PASS stamp.

I quite enjoy the car squirming all over the place going into 5th on these greasy roads

Got it out to the mountains today, as well as a nice rip around a frozen lake. Just drive down the slipway and you've got acres of space for fun!

Bucks - give me some wisdom on how to embed videos!

More ice driving

Tried taking decent photos, but was having too much fun.

Following which I introduced it to the m5 that it replaced/is trying to replace..

Picked up a Cupra-R Lip for the front, and will be placing an order for some bits this week:

2 X Forge 008 Diverter Valves
TFSI Coils X 6 + VW Toureg Coil Spacers + Homemade Loom should = Being able to run a larger spark plug gap.

Then come Spring, it'll be time to make it 20% more biased to the rear.

Mocked up the Cupra-R lip this evening....not too sure about it to be honest.

Too much black & yellow going on?

Getting itchy feet

Think I might put this up for sale. It is by far the fastest and most comfortable car I've owned, but.....it isn't a BMW!

It may go, in order to fund the importation of a z3M Coupe, thus ending my foolish absence from BMW ownership.

Failing the Coupe search, I may settle for an e36 m3 or 328iS, and put the 17" BBS RSs to use.
