I used Bilt Hamber auto balm superior gloss poilsh, it's hard to get off but has brought the paint up very nice.

It brought the chrome up too.

Hope you didn't clean the lipstick but in fairness you should call to local maindealers . They mad for showcars ! I had to take my touring project to my local dealer to get a form stamped for a logbook replacment . Took it in on a trailor . Parked up near all the 162 bimmers proud as punch . Had all the big nobs in suits out saying without them e30 bmw wouldn't be here now . Something about all the wannabie porche yobs buying em back in the 80s . I didn't give a f.. K once I got my form stamped . They said to bring it back when restored , but one condition has to be as it left the factory

I still have a bit to do to it yet before the shows, sadly BMW don't make cars like the e30 anymore

I didn't clean the make up off the door card

I did clean the indicator & wiper stalks & they are like new.

This with an s14b23 and a dogleg box would be a dream.

That would be nice alright but I really like the noise that the M20 engine with Bosch Motronic makes when you start it up

That is a really lovely car with an interesting history.

It's very difficult to find such an unabused factory fresh E30 today. Please keep it original, they are only original once!! It is perfect as it is.

I love the old Irish number plates.

    Good luck with it,

Thanks the number plates do take you back alright. The only change I am going to do is genuine BMW 15" BBS alloys.

I used a plastic polish on plates & it brought them up very nicely.

I have the invoice for the number plates when it was imported in 1990.

Excellent, it's great to have receipts like that in the history file. It really adds to the provenance of the car.

It says a lot about the previous owner too that all documents were kept, it's obvious from the condition of the car that it was very well looked after.
